The First Snow of the Year

Alexander LOVED the snow and playing with his big dump truck
This is Elijah happy (he's only been outside for about 30 seconds)

The boys playing together (Elijah refused to wear his mittens)

Sobbing Elijah - this is after about 4 minutes of being in the cold

Last night we experienced our first snow fall of the season. It was beautiful and it is cold! As in all good parenting, Karen decided that the boys needed to play in the snow this morning. Everyone was bundled up, toys were brought outside, and we were set to have a wonderful time - but as you can see Elijah does not agree. Typically, Elijah is an unbelievably easy going child but since he was born he has hated cold weather (we fault this to him being a summer baby) and has no tolerance for it. Needless to say my dreams of a morning of playing in the snow were dashed, instead we spent about 30 minutes outside (about 25 of those Elijah cried, sigh). Hopefully next year we will all be able to enjoy the snow together, even Elijah!
