My dear friend Katie traveled from Richmond to babysit the boys and I this past weekend while Robert took one last retreat before baby girl arrives. It was a much needed visit for me to be with a friend who knows me, requires no special effort, and most importantly - adores my boys. Our day consisted of a trip to Target where Katie broke all the mommy rules of playing with toys, pulling out pillows and pretending to nap, to cart games; a special lunch at Chic-fil-a with ice cream cones and balloons; ended with a late afternoon of flying the kite - all of this has essentially meant my children love Katie nearly as much as I do. Thanks for coming, Katie, we can't wait for our baby girl to enjoy the fun!
