Sweet Elijah was so tired (he had missed his nap) that after 10 minutes on the boat he was asleep.
Well it was a little too cold to swim very long but they did have a great time in the kayak (making their Aunt Mary and Uncle Dee proud!).
This afternoon we ventured out to the lake with some of our favorite GCF (Graduate Christian Fellowship) pals. We had a great time riding the boat, fellowshipping with good friends, watching the boys play, and eating delicious food (let's just say a potluck with these guys included - grilled lamb, butternut squash, strawberry and feta cheese salad, macaroni and cheese, strawberry bread, homemade banana pudding, just to name a few). Its afternoons like these that I feel even more blessed that the Lord has placed us here in Blacksburg and that our children are being raised in a community of such strong believers who love them so well.
